Thank You...  FOR ATTENDING DIVERCIUDAD 2008!

DIVERCIUDAD was an art installation exhibiting the talent of Latin American Queer artists living in Toronto at the 519 Community Centre on June 24, 2008.
Homophobia plagues the Latin American community both here in Toronto and in our home countries. DIVERCIUDAD aims to create safe spaces where Latin American Queer artists can be seen as much more than their gender or sexual orientation. In combating homophobia and in celebration of Pride Toronto 2008, we wanted to showcase and highlight the talent that is thriving in our community.
DIVERCIUDAD is part of Series Identidad, a series of thirteen workshops presented by the Hispanic Development Council facilitated by young Latin American professionals and artists living in Toronto. Series Identidad runs May 16 – December 6, 2008
